With WhatsApp alerts, your organization has the option to receive notifications through WhatsApp messages, instead of SMS, when specific Alert Triggers occur. This feature is available to organizations in Mexico.
To configure WhatsApp notifications, select a topic:
To enable a user to receive WhatsApp notifications, perform the following workflow:

Select the Settings icon (
) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

Select Users & Roles.

Select the more actions ( ••• ) menu of the user for whom you would like to enable WhatsApp notifications for.

Click Enable WhatsApp notifications for this number.
When you enable this option for the first time, the phone number receives a one-time opt-in confirmation message from WhatsApp.
When enabled, WhatsApp notifications replace SMS notifications on new alert incidents.

Save.
WhatsApp notifications replace the SMS option for the user when you configure an alert. If an existing alert has SMS enabled for the user, they will now be alerted through WhatsApp instead.
You can disable WhatsApp notifications by deselecting Enable WhatsApp notifications for this number on the user.
If a user opts out of receiving WhatsApp notifications, or if a WhatsApp notification fails to send, WhatsApp notifications default back to SMS messages.
If you are a user who no longer wants to receive WhatsApp notifications, you can reply STOP to the WhatsApp number to unscubscribe from Samsara WhatsApp alert notifications. After you are unsubscribed, you will receive SMS notifications instead. To resubscribe to WhatsApp notifications, text START to the same WhatsApp number.
