Sanitization Tracking in DVIRs

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Samsara can help you improve sanitation across your fleets to help manage and reduce contact transmission. To improve sanitization awareness and quality in your fleet, you can enable Sanitization Tracking in DVIRs.

To enable this feature see Customizable DVIR Settings. To automatically add a Vehicle Needs Sanitizing defect to post-trip DVIRS, select the option below the Sanitization Tracking setting. When this setting is not enabled, the defect is not automatically added, and drivers need to manually select the defect while filling out DVIRs using the Driver App.

After you enable Sanitization Tracking, the DVIR template in the Other section includes a Vehicle Needs Sanitizing option.

To view sanitization status from the DVIR dashboard, navigate to Maintenance ( ) > DVIR and select Show vehicles that need sanitization from the Defects filter.
