To enhance security measures for your business operations, new updates regarding how Samsara supports managing the required payment method will go live on November 20th, 2023. This update will affect all customers who pay via credit card or direct debit.
What is the update?
As of November 20th, 2023, only Samsara dashboard users that are assigned a Full Admin role, a Billing role, or a custom role with Billing permissions enabled can update the payment method. If you are not currently a dashboard user with Billing or Administrative permissions enabled, you can contact a Samsara dashboard Admin in your organization to assign you the required Full Admin or Billing role.
To access Billing information, you must be assigned a Full Admin or Billing role or have a custom role with Billing permissions enabled for the entire organization. If you are a dashboard Administrator, you can assign the appropriate permissions to employees in your organization who may need to view or edit payment information. To assign the appropriate roles to existing users in the dashboard, Administrators can assign users a Full Admin or Billing role (see Manage Administrators), or a custom role with Billing permissions enabled.
You can send the following instructions to a Samsara dashboard Admin in your organization to add new users and review billing roles:

Select the Settings icon () at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

In Organization > Users & Roles, select + Invite User.

Enter the Email address for the administrator account and assign a Role.

Choose a role that enables access to Billing information (Billing or Full Admin).
