We’re excited to announce that contract co-terming is now live for Commercial customers.
Co-terming will consolidate all future and in-progress add-on orders to your existing contract with the same license terms and expiration. The total cost displayed during checkout will reflect a prorated amount, rounded up to the nearest month. No action is needed from your end to enable the co-terming functionality on your future and in-progress add-on orders.
What does this mean for you?
-
A single consolidated Samsara invoice and payment date moving forward
-
A simplified renewal process for existing licenses
I have multiple contracts associated with my account. Which contract term will be used for co-terming?
The contract with the furthest out license expiration date will be used for co-terming.
Example: If you have two contracts currently associated with your account, one expiring 8/11/2024 and the other expiring 7/11/2025, any future or in-progress add-on order will be consolidated to expire on 7/11/2025.
What should I expect when my contract is up for renewal?
When you add new products to your existing license, the new products will assume your existing license terms and will expire on the same date. The total cost displayed during checkout will reflect a prorated amount, rounded up the nearest month.
Please note that when your contract is up for renewal, it will renew all of your co-termed licenses together for a full license term. Therefore, the total of your renewed contract will be higher than your initial contract total, but the original term rate will remain unchanged.
Example: You purchased 5 CM32 Licenses during a previous first purchase transaction for a 36-month subscription term, expiring 5/3/2025. On 5/4/2024, you decide to purchase 6 additional CM32 Licenses for new vehicles added to your fleet. The 6 additional licenses purchased on 5/4/2024 will assume an expiration date of 5/3/2025. When you renew your contract, all 11 CM32 Licenses will renew together.
Can I update my payment method on file to account for the new changes?
