You can view and edit Samsara Driver App settings from Driver App Settings in the Samsara dashboard (Settings ( ) > Fleet > Driver App).
The following list contains the categories of settings you can customize. Review these categories to tailor the Samsara Driver App settings for your fleet:

General: Customize asset view, selection, and the driver login ID for the Samsara Driver App.

Features: Enable driver access to additional features such as driver messaging, the asset map, and Hours of Service workflows.

Workflows: Create custom workflows for drivers to complete in the Samsara Driver App.
From General driver app settings, you can edit driver login information and customize the vehicle and trailer selection options for your drivers.

Edit the Driver Fleet ID that drivers use to connect to your organization at Samsara Driver App sign in. |
Org vehicle search |
By default, drivers are limited to vehicles within their selection tag when connected to the internet. Enable this feature to enable drivers to search for vehicles outside their selection tag. |
Restrict vehicle selection based on location |
NoteContact Support to enable this feature. Encourage drivers to select nearby vehicles by suggesting vehicles within their proximity. You can customize the proximity to a 100 or 500 meter radius. |
Trailer selection |
Enable drivers to view and select trailers. Customize the options available to the driver for trailer selection, such as enabling the driver to create or search for trailers or limiting the number of trailers the driver can select. For more information about managing your trailers and configuring this setting, see Trailer Management. |

Enables drivers to submit trip inspections for vehicles and trailers. Customize document submissions by requiring additional details such as comments on defects and walkaround photos (see Customizable DVIR Settings) |
Routes |
When you Plan a Route, you can enable this setting to enable drivers to view live, scheduled, and completed routes. When enabled, you can customize the route settings:

Documents |
Create templates for drivers to submit documents. A document can include photos, signatures, and text. For more information, see Driver Documents. |
Map |
Enables drivers to view vehicle and asset locations on the Samsara Driver App map. Use the Vehicle Selection and Map Tag and the Additional Asset Selection and Map Tag to restrict view access and selection for specific assets in the Driver Profile Settings. To allow drivers to select a trailer in the Samsara Driver App, ensure that the Driver App Trailer Selection setting is enabled. Messaging |
Send and receive messages from drivers and modify notification options. For more information, see Driver Messages |
Team Driving |

Trip Log |
Enable drivers to their completed trip history. |
