From Settings ( ) > Fleet > Dispatch, you can customize the following route settings for your fleet.

Route Tracking Window |
Expand the route tracking window beyond the scheduled start and end times. Specify the Start of tracking window (in hours; default is 1 hour) before the route’s scheduled start time and the End of tracking window (in hours; default is 6) after the route’s scheduled end time. Default Route Stop Service Time |
Set the default amount of time at a stop that Samsara uses to calculate the stop's scheduled departure time during route planning (default is 30 minutes). |

Route Stop Arrival & Departure Settings |
Configure the arrival condition (if the route stop occurs automatically, manually following Driver App input, or both), and the length of time a vehicle needs to be at a stop for it to count as an arrival (default is 2 minutes) and departure from a stop to count as a departure (default is 30 seconds). |

Restrict Route Visibility |
Specify which routes admins can view on the Samsara dashboard, based on vehicle and driver tags their role can access. |

Real-Time Updates on Dispatch |

Support Overlapping Tracking Windows |
Enable overlapping route tracking time frames when a route is scheduled to begin, even before the prior route has been completed. |

Begin Route Tracking on First Stop Arrival |
Require completion of the first stop along a route before tracking any subsequent stops. |

Disable Stop Time Order Validation |
Permit creation of routes that include stop departure times scheduled prior to the arrival times of previous stops. |

Hide Documents Notes Field |
Hide the Document Notes field from drivers within the Samsara Driver App |

Use Commercial ETAs |
Generate truck-based estimated time of arrival (ETA) and route recommendations based on common commercial vehicle restrictions, including commercial speed limits and road restrictions. This is an organization-wide setting. To learn more, see Simple Commercial ETAs. |

Use Intelligent Stop Notes |
Automatically categorize and format stop notes with Samsara AI. Applies only to notes created after this setting is enabled. To learn more about Intelligent Stop Notes, see Edit Stop Notes in Manage Routes |

Route Stop Timeliness Window |
Configure the time window before and after a stop's scheduled arrival time that's considered on time. Define the Start of “on time” window (default is 45 minutes) and the End of “on time” window (default is 45 minutes). |
