When you connect the ATIS cable (ACC-AG-BATIS-MER or ACC-AG-BATIS-HEN) to the Asset Gateway (AG) on your trailer, you can monitor ATIS lamp faults by configuring alerts or through the Samsara dashboard.
When the fault is active, the activation displays on the asset in the Fleet Overview ( ). Both historical and active statuses display in the following locations in the Samsara dashboard:
-
Reporting: Historical activations display in the Fault History Report and Maintenance Status report.
-
Auxiliary Input Map: Historical activations display as an ATIS Lamp On status on the Coverage Map of Auxiliary Input Activity and on the asset detail page.
-
Asset Diagnostics: Displays the current lamp status (ON or OFF).
Most ATIS manufacturers recommend that if the ATIS lamp remains on for more than 10 minutes, it may indicate a problem with the system. To notify a driver or receive a notification when the ATIS lamp has been active for a specified duration, you can configure an ATIS Lamp On alert.
When you configure the alert, set the duration threshold (10 minutes is recommended) and the alert source (all assets, specific assets, or specific tags).
