When you install an AT on an asset, you can view and update the associated asset information from your Samsara dashboard.
The following tables summarize the settings you can view and edit for your asset tag and its associated asset.

Name |
The name of the associated vehicle or asset. When you first add a device, the Samsara dashboard identifies it by serial number. For ease of management and identification, use descriptive names for your gateways. |

Serial number associated with the gateway. This field is not editable. |

The name and values of attributes associated with the vehicle. |

Internal identifier of the asset the device is attached to, used for tracking and traceability. |

To view or edit the settings for an individual Asset Tag:

Select the Settings icon (
) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

From within Devices, select Devices > Gateways.

Locate the AT from the list. To narrow the scope of the results, Search for the AT or filter the options by Tags or Attributes.

On the device row, click the more actions ( ••• ) menu > Settings.

Edit the device settings and Save to confirm the changes.
