We have released an update to Safety and Coaching export and scheduled reports! Users can expect the following changes:
- A scheduled version of every report accessible on the dashboard
- Parity between exported and scheduled reports (exported and scheduled reports will include the same columns and data)
- Updated columns and column ordering to reports in order to be aligned with data visible on the dashboard

Ability to include attributes as columns in the Driver Safety Report by Driver and the Vehicle Safety Report by Vehicle
- Only available to customers using Attributes

Driver Safety Report
The Driver Safety Report can be used to assess the safety performance of your fleet’s drivers during a selected period of time. Users can view exact counts of each behavior type, driver scores, and more.

All behaviors associated with events in coaching statuses Needs Review, Needs Coaching, Coached, and Reviewed will populate in the report.

Coaching Effectiveness Report
The Coaching Effectiveness Report provides visibility into how effective coaches are at reducing repeat behaviors by drivers. If a driver repeats a behavior after a behavior occurs within 45 days, it is considered a repeat behavior. For example, if a driver rolls through a stop sign and then does it again 15 days later, it is considered a repeat behavior. You can use the data in the Coaching Effectiveness Report to compare to the repeat behavior rate to assess the effectiveness of your coaching program.
Export & Scheduled Reports Available
When exporting the Coaching Effectiveness Report, you have the option to filter your exported report using the Exclude Behavior Filter on Export Modal. The filter has the same expected behavior as the Exclude Behavior Filter on the dashboard page. When you select a behavior type in the filter, coaching effectiveness data for that specific behavior type will not populate in the report.

When exporting the Coaching Timeliness Report, you have the option to filter your exported report using the Behavior Filter on Export Modal. The filter has the same expected behavior as the Behavior Filter on the dashboard page. When you select a behavior type in the filter, only coaching timeliness data for that specific behavior type will populate in the report.

Users can now view Attribute details in the Driver Safety Report by Driver and the Vehicle Safety Report by Vehicle.

Export Report
When a user is exporting their Driver Safety Report by Driver or Vehicle Safety Report by Vehicle a checkbox will be displayed in the "Export data" section. When the box is checked attribute details will be included the in the export.
Scheduled Report
When creating a new Driver Safety Report by Driver or Vehicle Safety Report by Vehicle scheduled report a checkbox will be displayed in the "Report Format" section. When the box is checked attribute details will be included the in the export. Users can also edit an existing Driver Safety Report by Driver or Vehicle Safety Report by Vehicle to included Attribute details by checking the box.
FAQ
What is the difference between a behavior and an event?

An event is populated in the Safety Inbox and is generated based on what is detected in a vehicle from a Samsara Vehicle Gateway or AI Dash Cam. Behaviors describes what was happening at the time of this event and any manual labels applied to the event.

Example: A driver brakes harsh → event is detected by Samsara’s vehicle gateway → an event is created in the Safety Inbox → a safety manager reviews the event and adds manual labels of “Speeding” and “Near Collision” → this event is associated with 3 behaviors Harsh Brake, Speeding, and Near Collision
How can I access the information in the old Samsara Coach Safety Report?

How do I set up these scheduled reports?

On any page in the Safety Overview, you can select the menu in the top right corner (…) and select the option “Schedule Emailed Report”

The Report Type will default to the report corresponding to the page you are on however you can select whichever report you’d like to configure from here

Settings > LINKS & SHARING > Scheduled Reports > Add Scheduled Report (top right corner) > Selected desired scheduled report name
