Samsara Driver ID Token Troubleshooting

Place the driver token directly on top of the VG.

Verify whether the assignment populates on Fleet > Overview.

Be sure the token is isolated and not close to any other tokens. The tokens connect via Bluetooth, so ensure that there are no other tokens in range.

It can take up to two minutes for the associated driver to appear on the Samsara dashboard. The name will show in Fleet > Overview when you select a vehicle.

Select the Settings icon ( ) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

Select Drivers > Driver ID.

Ensure the token is isolated and not close to any other tokens. The tokens connect using Bluetooth, so ensure that there are no other tokens in range.

Check to see if any Driver to Vehicle Assignments assigned to the vehicle is being prioritized above Driver Token (BLE Scan).

In the event that there is more than one assignment type for a vehicle, Samsara uses hierarchy logic to determine which driver to assign to the vehicle.
