HW-CL11 (receiver) and HW-CL12 (transmitter)
Wireless Link pairs a trailer-mounted transmitter (HW-CL12) with a cab-mounted receiver (HW-CL11) so tractor-trailer fleets can bring a rear AHD camera view into the cab without running a long GX-12 cable the full length of the combination. The transmitter powers the camera over GX-12 and sends video wirelessly after the units pair. Pairing uses power line communication (PLC) over the trailer ABS power path on the 7-way cable, so both units must share that power line. After pairing, video is wireless; PLC is not used for the video stream. The receiver connects to the AI Multicam Hub or HD Camera Connector for display on the in-cab monitor and needs a separate power connection. Wireless Link is intended for single trailers only and is not guaranteed for double or triple trailers.
Use this topic to choose the right install path, then follow the linked transmitter and receiver guides. Install the first transmitter and receiver on one linked tractor-trailer combination so you can confirm PLC pairing before you roll out additional installs. Pairing cannot be confirmed until both units are installed on the same tractor-trailer pair.
Note
Some vehicles include an electrical noise filter between the battery and the trailer ABS power bus. That filter can block the PLC pairing signal. Power the receiver from the same side of the filter as the transmitter. That can require taking power from outside the cab.
Complete the install in this order:

Install the receiver in the cab using the Wireless Link Receiver Installation Guide, and choose a power source from the receiver power path below.

Install the transmitter on the trailer using the Wireless Link Transmitter Installation Guide, and choose a power method from the transmitter install path below.

Before you permanently mount either unit, complete Confirm Wireless Link Pairing (Power LED solid red and Link LED solid green on both units, and rear camera video on the in-cab monitor).

Choose the HW-CL12 power path that matches the trailer, then open the transmitter guide for the matching procedure:

ABS module power: When the trailer has an accessible ABS 5-pin connector (typically trailers manufactured after 1999; not specialty equipment such as haulers), install with CBL-CL-AABS at the ABS connection. 7-way power: When the ABS connector is unavailable, the ABS cable run is too short, or ABS module PLC blocks pairing, rework CBL-CL-AABS into flying leads and power from the trailer 7-way ABS/constant circuit. Non-trailer install: When you are not installing on a standard trailer ABS or 7-way path, rework CBL-CL-AABS into flying leads and connect to a suitable 10–30 V ignition power source and ground. Start with ABS when it is available. If pairing fails on ABS power, switch to the 7-way method and see Troubleshoot the Wireless Link for debug steps.
Evaluate HW-CL11 power sources in this order. Use a multimeter to confirm that the selected source is 12 V, cycles with ignition (unless you need parking-mode constant power), and shares the trailer ABS power path so PLC can reach the transmitter. Then open the Wireless Link Receiver Installation Guide for the matching procedure:

Note
When the camera must stay active during parking mode, wire to a constant power source that does not cycle with ignition, while still keeping the receiver on the same side of any PLC filter as the transmitter.
When earlier power options fail to create a link pair, power the receiver from the 7-way side of any filter between battery power and the 7-way, or from the side connected to the tractor ABS ECU, so both units share the same power domain. For debug steps, see Troubleshoot the Wireless Link.
