Spotlight search enables you to quickly and easily find assets, drivers, pages, and reports directly from the Samsara dashboard.
With spotlight search, you can:

Search across assets, drivers, and the Samsara dashboard using key fields such as name, username, VIN, driver's license and more.

View results groups by entity type with highlights for matched fields, based on your user permissions to view the included data.

Preview valuable metadata such as tags, content of maps (if current location data is available), and related links for drivers and assets.

Have an additional Ask AI option to open the Samsara Assistant with the same query, If you have Samsara AI Assistant enabled.
Along the spotlight search bar you can also directly access Samsara Assistant, Driver Messages, alerts, and your User Profile.
