Follow these steps to verify that the AG53 is receiving power and diagnostic information from the trailer's EBS system.

The LED on the AG is off or not showing a solid green light.

The trailer is not appearing in the Samsara dashboard.

The Power Source status is not showing “External via cable connection.”
Use the following steps to manually check for power and diagnose the EBS connection.

Inspect the AG’s LED. A solid green LED indicates normal operation. If the LED is off, press and hold the button for 1–2 seconds until it blinks green, then release. This performs a manual ping.

Check the Samsara dashboard. Navigate to the Asset Overview page and confirm the AG53 is visible. Verify the Power Source is listed as “External via cable connection” and that the battery is charging.

Inspect the EBS fuse. Replace if blown. You can also connect another truck or verified power source to test the power supply.

Measure voltage at the 7-way connector. If voltage is not detected and the fuse is intact, check for breaks in the wiring between the connector and the EBS unit.
