The AI Course Builder simplifies the process of creating interactive training materials by transforming existing company policy and procedure documents into engaging courses. Integrated into the Connected Training platform, this tool delivers training directly to the Samsara Driver App and driver portal and tracks completion progress with advanced reporting. By improving accessibility, engagement, and retention, AI Course Builder enhances workplace safety and efficiency.

By integrating quizzes and other interactive elements, it helps ensure employees retain critical information.

Access the AI Course Builder:

Navigate to the Training section in your Connected Training dashboard.

Select the option Create Course with AI.

Upload the file containing the company policy or procedure you want to convert into a training course.
Choose a file in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format that is more than 15 MB in size. Then click Generate.
Tip
If the system outputs only questions or processes incorrectly, re-upload the document or manually copy/paste the content into the course editor.
You can view the status of the upload progress in the bottom right corner.
After the course is generated, the progress notification displays the link to your new training.

Review the AI-generated course draft for accuracy and completeness and customize as desired.
Note
AI can make mistakes. Consider the following constraints when processing documents:

Spatial reasoning: The models aren't precise at locating text or objects in PDFs. They might only return the approximated counts of objects.

Accuracy: When interpreting handwritten text in PDF documents, the models might hallucinate or generate inaccurate results.
Tweak the course draft, as desired. Make any corrections or adustments such as to add or edit interactive fields like quizzes, before finalizing the course.

Once satisfied with the draft, publish the course or save the course as a draft.
Note
Ensure all required fields and content are verified before publishing to avoid incomplete training materials.

Track training progress:
Use the Connected Training dashboard to monitor course completion rates and employee engagement.
