To connect an AG to a powered asset such as a trailer (reefers, dry vans, tankers, chassis), powered equipment, or other power source, use the appropriate Samsara cable. To help you identify the appropriate cable, refer to the following topics:

Identify the correct cable for Asset Gateway (AG) installations on refrigerated trailers (reefers) based on whether the trailer includes an OEM telematics subscription with Thermo King or Carrier. The tables below outline compatible cable options and installation guides for each configuration.
For refrigerated trailers with an active OEM subscription, the following cables enable integration with Thermo King or Carrier systems.
For refrigerated trailers without an OEM subscription, the following cables connect directly to the reefer unit and do not require third-party integration. ABS and ATIS features are not available with any of the options listed.

The CBL-AG-ARTK cable draws power from both the 7-way power connection and the reefer unit and is compatible the Thermo King models listed below. When reviewing the Thermo King reefer compatibility, consider the controller board used in the refrigeration unit.
