About Addresses and Geofences

You can add an address and configure a geofence to specify a location of interest or a commonly visited location. A geofence is the virtual perimeter for a location or address. Samsara automatically assigns each location a geofence that can be configured as small as a subsection of a parking lot or as large as an entire state.

You can configure geofences based on what data is most useful to your workflow. Through well defined addresses and geofences, you can collect useful data about your operations at each location to manage your fleet and maximize efficiency.
