You can use Proximity Search to perform location-based investigations of vehicles or assets. Using Proximity Search, you can investigate the proximity of a vehicle or asset to a specific location within a time window.

Use the following workflow to use Proximity Search:
From your Samsara dashboard, navigate to Overview (
) > Proximity.To search near an address, select the address from the search menu or complete a new address.
Select a distance from the address to search (100 meters, 200 meters, 300 meters, 400 meters, or 500 meters).

Select a Start Time and End Time for the search.
The maximum search window is 24 hours within the last 12 weeks.
The search displays any vehicles with the search criteria that were in the area.

Select a vehicle to display route summaries.
To view route details, select Trip Details.
