Chatbots can make mistakes, so please confirm important information. In particular, while this chatbot is designed to provide helpful answers using information available from the Samsara Knowledge Base and Dashboard, as well as information generally available to GPT-4 and Claude, complex questions or those requiring detailed filtering of your organization's data may challenge the assistant. Responses are also not intended to be legal advice or a substitute for legal advice nor should they be taken as sales or product commitments. Use of the chatbot is subject to the Samsara Terms of Service, including the Acceptable Use policy.

Is there a limit to how many chats a user or organization can have per week?
To provide access to as many users as possible, message limits may apply. Message limits are also subject to change over time. For more information on limits, reach out to your Samsara account representative.
Can we disable the Samsara AI Assistant for our organization?
Yes. Samsara provides an organization-wide settings toggle that allows you to disable the AI Assistant entirely. This setting is enabled by default, meaning the Assistant is available unless manually turned off. To disable the Assistant, navigate to Settings > Samsara Intelligence > Samsara AI Assistant and toggle it off.
Does disabling the AI Assistant affect other Samsara features?
Currently, disabling the AI Assistant does not impact other Samsara features. However, in the future, some new features may require the AI Assistant to be enabled in order to function.
Will Samsara Assistant provide answers to users including data that they would not normally have access to?
No. The assistant will not change permissions nor will it allow someone to do more or less than what their existing permissions allow.
Which AI models does Samsara use for the Samsara Assistant?
Samsara provides a generative AI chatbot powered by OpenAI's GPT-4 and Anthropic’s Claude. Neither OpenAI nor Claude use customer data from Samsara to train their models.
Will my data or conversations be used to train 3rd party systems like Open AI’s GPT-4 or Anthropic’s Claude?
No. Customer data and conversations will not be used by Open AI or Anthropic for model training. Samsara is committed to enterprise-grade data security and privacy, ensuring customers retain full ownership and control over their business data.
