Note
Eco-Driving is the name for Driver Efficiency in EMEA.
Driver Scores help you monitor and promote safe, fuel-efficient driving across your fleet. To reinforce the driving habits that are important to your operations, you can enable which Safety and Driver Efficiency scores are visible to drivers in the Samsara Driver App. When enabled, drivers can view performance trends, score-impacting events, and peer comparisons.
Drivers can view their scores on the You tab of the Samsara Driver App Navigation Bar in the Samsara Driver App.
After enabling Driver Scores, administrators can choose from the following score types to make available in the Samsara Driver App:
-
Fuel Efficiency Score: Displays a driver’s efficiency score based on behaviors that impact fuel use, such as idling, speed, and driving smoothness. When this setting is enabled, you can also enable the Show Difficulty Scores option. The Difficulty score provides context about external operating conditions outside the driver’s control (road topography and vehicle weight) and does not influence the fuel efficiency score itself.
-
Safety Score: Displays a driver’s Safety Score along with recorded safety events that influence the score, such as harsh braking or speeding.
-
Safety Leaderboard: Displays how a driver’s Safety Score ranks compared to others in the fleet. If peer groups are configured, drivers see scores only from their assigned group. Administrators can choose to anonymize results.
