-
VG34 and VG54 Data Sheet (PDF)
-
To replace the VG:
-
Obtain the appropriate cables for your installation.
-
For VG cables, if eligible, exchange your cables or purchase new cables from the Webstore.
-
If you use Panic or Privacy Buttons, acquire the updated model and corresponding cables to connect them from the Webstore. Panic and Privacy buttons for VG34 models differ from those for later models.
-
-
Install your VG using the appropriate installation guide.
-
To connect auxiliary inputs, see Auxiliary Inputs for VGs and AGs.
-
If you use a diagnostic hub with the VG34, set it aside.
Later VG models have a built-in vehicle diagnostics hub, eliminating the need for an additional accessory hub.
-
To connect Third-Party Camera Integration Using the Standard Samsara Camera Connector, obtain the appropriate Samsara Camera Connector for use with the VG54.

Return the old hardware to Samsara if a return is authorized. For more information, see https://www.samsara.com/support/hardware-warranty.
If the old hardware is not eligible for return, dispose of it properly in accordance with your local recycling process. As the gateways contain lithium batteries, it is recommended to observe the local guidelines for battery and electronic waste disposal and take care when handling them. To find the recycling guidelines for your area, consult your local Recycling Center.
