To help drivers understand when their dash cam is actively recording, you can enable the camera to display a visible LED light. This builds transparency and trust—especially for long-haul drivers resting in their vehicles, those parking at home, or field service drivers operating in residential areas.
The LED clearly signals when recording is on. After you press the dash cam button, the LED pulses blue for about one second and then returns to the recording LED state. CM33 and CM34 do not use a green LED for recording or connectivity status. If the LED looks green, it is cyan and indicates an active voice call. The following table explains what each LED color means based on the dash cam model installed in the vehicle.
