If a driver leaves your organization, you can easily deactivate the driver in the Samsara dashboard.
Note
Due to the ELD mandate, you cannot fully delete drivers that have been active in your organization so that records are maintained for historical compliance purposes. Therefore, you can only deactivate drivers.
When you deactivate a driver, the historical records remain in the Samsara dashboard. After 30 days, the driver's name will only display in the Driver HOS report if the driver was active in the dashboard during the selected time range.

Select the Settings icon (
) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

In Organization, select Drivers > Active Drivers. Locate the driver from the list or Search for the driver name.

On the row for the driver, click the more actions ( ••• ) menu and then select Deactivate.

Select OK to confirm driver deactivation.
