To log in to the Samsara Driver App, drivers must know their Fleet ID, username, and password. If at any time, you need to reset a driver's password, you can do so as part of the driver profile in the Samsara dashboard:
-
Select the Settings icon (
) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.
-
In Organization, select Drivers > Active Drivers. Locate the driver from the list or Search for the driver name.
-
On the row for the driver, click the more actions ( ••• ) menu and then select Edit.
-
In the Driver App Login settings and click Change Password.
-
Enter the New Password, and then Save your changes.
As you type, an indicator will update to reflect the current password strength (Very Weak, Weak, Good, Strong).
Note
Passwords must be 8 characters minimum if your administrator has enabled Stronger Device Passwords from the Samsara dashboard (Settings (
) > Security > Password Policy > Enable Stronger Device Passwords).
For a more secure password, consider the following recommendations:
-
Include at least 10 characters.
-
Mix uppercase and lowercase letters.
-
Add numbers and symbols (for example: #, $, %, &).
-
Avoid common words, sequences, or personal information.
If the password follows all these recommendations, a
Strong
indicator will display. -
-
Communicate the new password to the driver and verify that the driver can log in to the Samsara Driver App.
