If you need to change the assigned mobile device management policy for a specific device, you can do so from the Samsara dashboard. You can change the device policy for a device from both the MDM Overview and the Devices dashboard. After you choose a new policy, Samsara immediately sends it to the device which receives it as soon as it connects to the Internet and syncs with the Samsara cloud.
To change the device policy from the MDM Overview:
From the Fleet menu, select MDM Overview.
Locate the device in the list of devices to the left of the map.
If you have a large number of devices, you can Search by device name, device ID, signed-in driver, or vehicle name; or filter by one or more criteria (Policy name, Mobile Device Model, and Software Version). You can also sort the list of devices by last known location (newest or oldest) or alphabetically by device name (A-Z or Z-A).
Click the more actions menu ( ... ) and then select Assign Device to Policy.
Choose the device Policy from the list and then select Assign. If you need to create a new policy, see Policy Configuration Overview.
