When you create a preventive maintenance schedule, you can receive real-time information about when your vehicles are due for a service. You can create maintenance intervals based on number of days, odometer readings, or operated engine hours. After you create a schedule, you can return to the Preventative Maintenance Schedule to Edit any existing maintenance schedules or Remove schedules that are no longer relevant.
To create a new schedule, follow the detailed workflow below:
-
From the Samsara dashboard, select Maintenance ( ) > Schedule.
-
Select + Add a schedule.
-
Provide a Title and Description of the preventive maintenance schedule.
-
Select one or more applicable maintenance intervals (By date, By odometer, or By engine hours), and then click Next.
-
Search and select which assets to add to the schedule.
-
You can assign the schedule to all assets within a tag with the Tags field.
-
To filter which vehicles to include to the schedule by specific attributes, select + Add Attribute.
-
With the Individual Assets field, you can add or exclude one or more assets from the schedule. To quickly find an asset, type the asset name directly in the field.
