You can enable audio recording in vehicles equipped with audio recording dash cams. After enabling, audio recording is available in High Resolution Video (HRV) and Secondary Extended Video (SEV) for existing devices. For privacy concerns, you must manually enable this setting for any newly installed devices.
Because a portion of the dash cam recording capacity is used for audio storage, you reduce your video storage capacity when you enable audio recording. To see the distribution of dash cam storage when utilizing optional features, see Dash Cam Storage Capacity.
To enable audio recording:

Select the Settings icon (
) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

Select Devices > Configuration > Cameras.

Enable the Audio Recording setting and Confirm to save changes.

Enable this feature on new vehicles using either of the following methods:

Select the vehicle disabled link within the Audio Recording setting.

Navigate to Settings > Safety > Fleet > Safety Settings.
Existing devices will automatically be enabled.

To enable audio recording on the camera in a specific vehicle, select Edit next to the vehicle.

Locate Audio Recording and select Enabled from the menu.

Submit to save the settings.
