Use the Gateway Health Report to view the current health status of all Vehicle Gateways (VGs) and Asset Gateways (AGs) in your fleet. This report is available to organizational admins under Reports ( ) > Devices > Gateway Health.
You can view the report in your dashboard or configure the report to be delivered on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis for any tags in their organization.
The report is divided into two sections:
To help you monitor the health of your devices, you can view the Gateway Health summary. The summary provides at-a-glance information that you can use to identify issues with your gateways.

The summary is divided into three widgets (All Gateways, Vehicle Gateways, and Asset Gateways) that use circle graphs to show the distribution of gateways by health status. At the center of each graph is the percentage of gateways that have a healthy status.
Select a Health Status, Tag , or Gateway Type by model to narrow the scope of the devices that the report displays. The following table provides a breakdown of health statuses and recommended troubleshooting actions:

Gateway has weak GPS signal. The gateway could be indoors, in an area of bad weather, or isn’t getting a clear view of the sky. |
Move gateway outside to an area with better GPS signal. |

Hasn’t Received Power |
Gateway has not received charge for more than 14 days. |
If the gateway is in use, ensure gateway is receiving power and that connections are secure. |

Low Vehicle Battery (AG24/26) |
Last known vehicle battery is between 1 and 8 Volts. |
Check the vehicle battery to see if it needs replacement. If it does not, please proceed to AG26/AG46P Powered Asset Gateway (AG) Troubleshooting. |

Temporarily Offline |
Samsara has not received data from gateway recently. |
For vehicles in regular use without battery isolators, please manually reboot the gateway and ensure the cable is attached securely. If the issue persists, please refer to the . |

Gateway has recently been offline for over 24 hours |
Gateway has recently been offline for over 24 hours. Ensure gateway is in an area of good cellular coverage. |

Low Gateway Battery (AG24/26) |
Gateway is reporting a low battery voltage and should be charged. |
Power on the asset to charge the gateway. |

Low Gateway Battery (AG45/46) |
Gateway is reporting a low battery voltage and should be replaced. |
Gateway requires replacement. Please proceed to Device Troubleshooting to request an RMA for the device. |

Prolonged Offline |
Samsara has not received data from gateway in over 90 days. |
Check that the cable is attached securely, and manually reboot the gateway. If the issue persists, proceed to Device Troubleshooting. |

Requires Investigation |
Gateway does not fall into any of the above categories and requires further investigation. |
Gateway offline for 14+ days. Manually reboot the gateway. If the issue persists, proceed to Device Troubleshooting. |

Not Installed |
Gateway has never been connected. |
Follow the device installation video guide to install. Wait 5 minutes after install for dashboard to update. |

After you review the health details for a gateway, you can take further action from the actions menu (...) in the row for the gateway to open a support ticket or to begin the process to exchange the device for another one.
