Use the Hours of Service (HOS) Violations Report (Compliance > HOS Violations) to understand poor routing and dispatch (for example if routes are too long), manage driver logs if there was human error (for example if a driver forgets to sign out of the app or change duty status), or coach driver behavior.
It's important to note that any flagged HOS violations recorded in this report are not transferred over during roadside inspections or in-house audits. This ensures that your internal reporting does not directly affect external compliance reviews, giving you more control over coaching and corrective actions before an inspection takes place.
For each driver you can click into the driver summary to view details about the driver or view the specific Hours of Service report for the log in which a violation occurred.
The Violations and Missing Certifications Reports help you to easily monitor compliance performance across your fleet and keep your drivers and back office accountable for maintaining compliance.
The report is divided into two tabs:
To help you pinpoint coaching opportunities, the Violations Report provides a quick overview of violations per driver. These violations are more serious than missing certifications and typically require more immediate action to correct.
For each driver who has accrued a violation over the selected time period, the report displays the following information:
Field |
Description |
---|---|
Driver |
Name of the driver. |
Violations (Time) |
One or more violations reported for the driver and the total duration of time during which the driver was in violation over the selected time period. |
Days |
Date on which a violation occurred and the duration of time per violation. |
To further refine the results, you can change the date range, filter by tag or by specific Violation Types, or search for specific Drivers. You can also further drill down into the Hours of Service Report for a driver by the driver name or by the violation incident.
For offline viewing or archival purposes you can also save the results to a comma-separated values (CSV) file or print the results from the actions menu ( ... ). When downloading a CSV file, the report will contain both the Violations and Missing Certifications. To receive regular reports to your email, you can also schedule a report from the same menu.
To help you identify and coach drivers that are missing certifications, you can view the Missing Certifications Report. These violations are a result of drivers not properly signing their logs at the end of the day.
For each driver who has accrued a missing certification violation over the selected time period, the report displays the following information:
Field |
