TPMS Integration for Trailers
Samsara has integrated with Continental Tires ContiConnect solution to provide real-time tire pressure monitoring for trailers. This integration helps fleet managers detect and resolve tire issues proactively, reducing emergency repair costs, safety incidents, and fuel inefficiency.
By leveraging Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals from Continental tire sensors, data is collected and displayed within the Samsara dashboard, providing a centralized location for fleet tire health monitoring. The integration also enables real-time alerts to notify drivers and fleet managers of tire issues.

Samsara: Trailers equipped with an AG52 or AG53 Asset Gateway (AG)
Follow these steps to enable data flow from Continental sensors.

Install any AG52 or AG53s or TPMS sensors.
The TPMS sensors can be mounted inside the tire (in-tire) or on the valve stem (valve-cap).

Configure the integration from the Samsara dashboard:

Select the Settings icon (
) at the bottom of your Fleet menu and then click Apps.

Search for
ContiConnectand then select Continental's Digital Tire Management (TPMS) app. -
Click Allow to agree to the terms of the Samsara Data Import and Sharing Addendum.

When prompted, enter the Continental Fleet ID from the Continental ContiConnect portal.

Retrieve the asset identifiers.
From the Assets page, click the more actions ( ••• ) menu > Export to CSV.
The exported file will include the Asset ID field, which is required when populating the Telematics Link ID field inside ContiConnect.

Complete the integration from the Continental portal.
Log in and use the Asset List to populate the Telematics Link ID field for each asset.
After activation, Samsara transmits sensor data to Continental through an API. Continental processes the data, applies Compensated Pressure adjustments, and sends alerts and pressure values back to Samsara. This data is then displayed in the Samsara Dashboard.
Data is available in several locations to help fleet managers track and respond to tire health issues efficiently:

Asset List: Displays all trailers receiving TPMS data from ContiConnect.

Asset Detail Page: Shows real-time tire pressure, temperature, and alert statuses for individual trailers.

Tire Condition Report: A fleet-wide report summarizing tire health across all trailers.
