Penske customers can integrate Samsara eDVIR defect reporting with the Penske Maintenance Platform.
Note
This integration is owned and managed by Assured Telematics (ATI), a third-party System Integrator on the Samsara Experts Marketplace. There is a monthly fee for this integration.
This integration enables the following:

Ability to report defects submitted through Samsara DVIRs to Penske

Ability to resolve those defects by Penske Maintenance team and resolved status to filter back to Samsara
Note
When defects on an Unsafe DVIR are deemed not necessary to be resolved by Penske, you will need to acknowledge and resolve those defects within the Samsara dashboard before the vehicle can be operated to comply with FMCSA regulations (section 396.12c).

To inquire about the integration and set up, contact your Penske representative or email hello@penskecustomersuccess.com.
ATI manages integration deployments. ATI prices the integration at $4/unit per month (a unit is defined as a vehicle or a trailer). If you don't already have a relationship with ATI, reach out on their site.
Follow these steps for ATI to install the integration:

In your Samsara dashboard, navigate to Settings > Apps.

Search for and then select
Penske eDVIR
to install the app. -
Add Penske Mechanic (penskedvirintegration@assuredtelematics.com) as a user and assign the Maintenance role with access to the Entire Organization in your Samsara dashboard (for more information on adding a user, see Manage Administrators). If you are using tags for Penske assets, assign the appropriate to this user.

Ensure the Tags associated with the Penske app are mapped to all applicable Penske assets.
Tip
As a best practice, if you use maintenance providers other than Penske, you can create and assign a
Penske
tag to your assets in Samsara. This will ensure that only Penske assets are synced with Penske. -
Send the following information to ATI Support at support@assuredtelematics.com:

Your Samsara org URL

Samsara API token

(Optional) Samsara tag groups to enable, if you configured them as recommended in step 4. Otherwise, you can choose to enable the integration for all vehicles in your organization.
