Integrate with EJ Ward

Samsara's integration with E.J. Ward’s Fuel Interface allows you to view real-time insights from Samsara alongside fuel management data, to better monitor fuel usage, reduce
costs, and improve operational efficiency.

With this integration, customers can connect vehicle identification and diagnostic data from
Samsara Vehicle Gateways into their cloud based, Ward Fuel View software for a more holistic,
contextual view of their fuel management operation.

Integration Details

The integration requires physical connection via USB, between the Samsara Vehicle Gateway (VG) and E.J. Ward Fuel Authorization Interface (WGFI). The WGFI device then communicates wirelessly with the Fuel Control Terminal to validate that the correct vehicle is at the gas pump, per the below diagram:

When the integration is enabled for an organization, the following is sent to the WGFI device via USB:

• Vehicle VIN number

• Current Odometer reading

• Current Engine Hours

• Ignition Status (whether vehicle engine is 'On' or 'Off')
