When you use one of the supported navigation integrations alongside the Samsara Driver App on your Android device, you can choose your preferred app for route guidance and navigation.

Device model support is dependent on the integration. Review the integration requirements for more details.
After you choose your preferred navigation app, the stop address is automatically transferred to the app so that you can immediately begin the navigation.

From the Samsara Driver App, tap Routes.

Select your current Route.

Tap Navigate to launch navigation for the next job on the route in the navigation app (this would normally open Google Maps without this feature activated).

Choose your preferred navigation app.
You also have the option for the Samsara Driver App to prompt you only this time or to always prompt you to select your preferred navigator app.
Note
The wording of these options vary depending on your android model (for example, Just Once | Always or Don't ask every time | Always).
The app will automatically open and pre-populates the address for the stop.

Tap Start navigation to begin your route.
If you chose not to see further prompts, the Samsara Driver App will automatically open routes in the preferred navigation app.

When done, return to the Samsara Driver App, if desired.
