When needed, you can download and share video clips for further analysis or archival purposes.
From the Samsara dashboard, you can save video clips for later recall and archival purposes.
Each clip can capture up to 60 minutes in footage.
When you download a clip, the Site Gateway also uploads the footage to your Sites video Library.

Click Save.
-
Monitor the download status.
If you left your browser open, the download dialog displays when the clip is ready to download. Samsara also sends an email notification when the clip is ready.
This download status remains visible as you navigate throughout the dashboard unless otherwise dismissed. If you dismiss the notification or close the browser, you can return to the Library > Requests to view the status of any pending download requests.
If you want to later download the clip, see Download a Saved Clip.
From the Sites video Library, you can download a clip in MP4 format for long-term storage and archival purposes.
For videos over 1GB in size, the video download is split into multiple segments. This helps to prevent timeout issues and ensure a successful video download.
-
Navigate to the Sites video Library and locate the clip you want to download.
-
Click the more actions menu ( ... ) on the top right of the clip and then select Download.
The video is downloaded using the method associated with your browser.
For videos larger than 1GB in size, the video is broken up into smaller segments that you can download individually.
