To assist with an in-house audit of Hours of Service (HOS) under your applicable regional mandate, you can perform an in-house audit log transfer. For information on the status of HOS Audit transfers, see the HOS Audit Transfer Report.
To transfer logs:
-
Select Compliance > Driver HOS.
-
Select the driver for whom you want to transfer logs.
-
Specify the date range of the logs you want to transfer using the date selector above the report.
Choose a date range of one month or less. If an audit requires a longer date range, it is recommended to send reports in one-month increments.
-
Click Transfer Logs
-
Choose the desired transfer method. Options may differ depending on your fleet's operating region:
-
Email to custom recipient
Note
This transfer method is intended to be used for sharing logs internally for record keeping or monitoring purposes. This is not a compliant transfer method for a government audit or regulatory inspection.
-
FMCSA Audit Transfer (US)
-
Email to FMCSA (US)
-
Email to Canadian Government (Canada)
Note
This transfer method requires an email address registered in the Canadian government’s Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) system. Unregistered or incorrect addresses can cause the transfer to fail.
-
-
If the inspector provides a specific value to identify the audit, enter it in the Comment field. If you choose an email-based transfer method you should also enter the Recipient Email.
-
Review the details of the transfer request including the date range and ensure that the data requested for transfer is consistent with the inspector's requests.
-
Click Send or Submit to transfer the data file. The data file cannot be recalled after you submit the transfer.
-
Repeat the process for each individual driver requested by the inspector.
-
To monitor the status of your audit transfer, see the Compliance > HoS Audit Transfer report.
