FLEETCOR is only available to US customers.
The Samsara integration with FLEETCOR enables you to add your fuel purchases from FLEETCOR-issued fuel cards such as Comdata into the Samsara Fuel Purchases Report automatically.
It takes approximately 5-10 business days to complete the integration setup. After the integration is complete, transactions will be added to the Fuel Purchase Report on a daily basis. Fuel purchase data made before the integration is completed will not be added automatically, however you can manually upload fuel purchase data in CSV format.
To set up the integration:
Navigate to Settings > Fuel & Energy > Fuel Cards.
Select Get Started > Comdata|FLEETCOR.
Enter your FLEETCOR Account # or Account Code.
The account is either an 8-digit or a 5-character alphanumeric code that you can find in the account settings page of the dashboard (iFleet for Fuelman Proprietary or Simple UI for Mastercard) or on your FLEETCOR invoice. The code most often follows one of these formats:
Two letters followed by three numbers (ex. AB123)
One letter, a dash, three numbers (ex. N-123)
Four letters and one number (ex. ABCD1)
Seven to eight letters and characters (ex. 1234567) [Fuelman accounts]
If you see a code like AB123UN, ignore the last two letters and enter AB123. If you see a code like BGAB123, ignore the first two letters and enter AB123.
Enter your Bill Group # or Customer ID. You can also find this information on your FLEETCOR invoice.
If you have multiple group numbers or customer IDs, enter only one and then contact Samsara support to enable the others.
Enter a Contact Email address.
Accept the Samsara Data Import & Sharing Addendum, and proceed to the Next page.
Download and sign the FLEETCOR Data Waiver, which allows FLEETCOR to send your fuel purchases to Samsara.
After you fill out and sign the data waiver, submit it on Samsara:
Return to the Fuel & Energy settings and select Fuel Cards.
In the summary of your Fuel Card Vendor, select View Status.
Select Submit Waiver.
You can verify the status of your integration, edit, or remove your integration from the Fuel Cards tab of Fuel & Energy settings.
Optionally proceed to Push Vehicle Location and Fuel Tank Data to FLEETCOR.
To utilize FLEETCOR fraud detection features, you can enable Samsara to push vehicle location and fuel tank level data to FLEETCOR. This additional step to push telematics data makes fuel fraud detection more reliable and accurate.
Rename your Vehicle Name in Samsara to match the Fleetcor Unit Numbers if they do not already match.
If names do not match, you will be asked to provide mappings from Samsara Vehicle Names to FleetCor Unit Numbers in a later step.
Submit the release form for transfer of data.
Fleetcor will reach out to Samsara to request feature activation and provide the Customer contact name and email, Samsara Org Name, Samsara Org ID, and Fleetcor Customer code(s) and Unit Number. If there are multiple customer codes, FLEETCOR will provide mapping of Unit Numbers to Customer Codes. If available, FLEETCOR will also provide VINs for vehicles.
Samsara will then activate this feature for your account.
During the activation process, be prepared to supply additional information if requested.
This can include a mapping of FleerCor Unit Numbers to Samsara Vehicle Names. This is typically needed if your Samsara Vehicle Name is not the same as the FleetCor unit number or if there are customer codes that are reused across multiple customer codes.
If a vehicle name changes in the Samsara system, a unit number changes in the FLEETCOR system, or a vehicle is added or removed from the fleet, this could result in the vehicle's location data failing to update in your alerts. If you notice stale location data in your alerts, please contact Support.
