Integrate with Uptake

Sync Samsara location data and vehicle mileage with Uptake’s maintenance platform.

The integration includes the following features:

Maintain visibility of service truck location in Uptake’s software
Retrieve Samsara telematics data (GPS, mileage, fuel consumed by trip, etc.) for preventative maintenance planning in Uptake

Requirements

Uptake built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. If there are any issues, please contact Uptake Support.

Create a Read Samsara API Token named Vendor Integration with the following granular scopes:
with read scopes for the specific categories required for the integration. If you aren't sure which scopes are required, check with your Vendor representative.

Send the token to your Vendor representative and request the Samsara integration.

Vendor Support will configure the account.
Create a support ticket requesting the Samsara integration in the Uptake support portal, or email support@uptake.com, or call 1-888-357-5800
Log into your Samsara dashboard and navigate to Settings > API Tokens
Create an API Token within the Samsara dashboard named "Uptake Integration" (learn about how to create an API token here)
- If you are using Tags, grant Tag Access (default is “Entire Organization”)
- Select the following Scopes for this integration:
  1. Drivers category
    
    Read Drivers
  2. Vehicles category
    
    Read Vehicle Statistics
    
    Read Vehicle Trips
Send the Samsara API Token to your Uptake rep and request the Samsara integration
Uptake will guide you through any remaining steps to enable the integration
