Integrate with InTow Manager

Sync vehicle current location data with InTow Manager to optimize your tow truck operations.

The integration includes the following features:

  • Location of trucks for InTow to estimate distance and ETAs for inbound tow trucks

  • Send text notifications to enable monitoring of tow trucks on mobile devices

Requirements

If you do not have an existing relationship with InTow, reach out through their contact form or call 866-706-2366.

  • InTow Manager: None

  • Samsara: Samsara API token with read scope

Deployment

InTow built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact InTow Support.

  1. Install InTow GPS Service on the server PC.

  2. Create a Samsara API Token named InTow Integration with the following granular scopes:

    • Driver Workflow:

      • Read Documents

      • Read Messages

    • Drivers: Read Drivers

    • Vehicles:

      • Read Vehicles

      • Read Vehicle Statistics

    For more information on creating an API token, see Get Started with the Samsara API.

  3. Enter the Samsara API Token in InTow Manager.

  4. Map trucks in InTow to the Samsara Vehicle Gateway (VG).

    InTow will guide you through any remaining steps to enable the integration
