Integrating with InTow Manager

Overview

Sync vehicle current location data with InTow Manager to optimize your tow truck operations.

The integration includes the following features:

  • Location of trucks for InTow to estimate distance/ETA for an inbound tow truck

  • Send customers text to follow tow truck on their phones

Requirements

InTow Manager

  • None

Samsara 
  • A Read only API Access Token from Samsara

Deployment

InTow built the integration and handles customer deployments. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please reach out to Intow Support.

  1. Install InTow GPS Service on the server PC

  2. Create an API Token within the Samsara dashboard named "Intow Integration" (learn about how to create an API token here)
    • If you are using Tags, grant Tag Access (default is “Entire Organization”)
    • Select the following Scopes for this integration:
      1. Driver Workflow category
        • Read Documents
        • Read Messages

      2. Drivers category

        • Read Drivers

      3. Vehicles category

        • Read Vehicles
        • Read Vehicle Statistics

  3. Enter the Samsara API Token in InTow Manager

  4. Map trucks in InTow to the Samsara Vehicle Gateway

  5. InTow will guide you through any remaining steps to enable the integration
