To view the Activity Log you must have one of the following roles: Full Admin, Standard Admin, Read-Only Admin; or Permission for Additional admin settings under Settings in custom roles. For more information, see Administrative Access and Permissions.
The Activity Log displays the description of changes made to the Samsara dashboard, or pushed to the Samsara Cloud, by other users in your organization. You can use the Activity Log to monitor the activity of other users from your dashboard settings (Settings () > Organization > Activity Log).
For example, if you need to know which user changed the name of a vehicle in your Samsara dashboard, you can filter the results to show changes made to devices (Event Type > select Device). To further narrow the scope of your search, you can filter the results to view all dashboard updates related to devices (Actions > select Updated).
Use the Columns manager to add or remove available fields in the activity log.
If desired, you can take any of the following actions to further manage the audit logs:
Refine the results using the date selector or filter by Event Types, Actions, or user emails.
Export the results to a comma-separated values (CSV) file or Print the screen view to a PDF. For the CSV file, you can download the file or send it to an email address of your choice. You can also choose the date range for which you want to export the logs. Both options are available from the actions menu (...).
Set up a scheduled report to send you the Activity Log weekly or daily. This enables you to monitor your dashboard activity on a regular basis. This option is also available from the actions menu (...).
