The Historic Diagnostics Report provides historical engine data for vehicles equipped with a Vehicle Gateway (VG). You can use this report to help you triage and investigate the health of assets, review asset use, and to help plan new parts procurement or maintenance.
To view the current diagnostic data for an asset, see Current Asset Diagnostic Data.
Diagnostics data availability vary depending on the gateway, cable, and asset make and model. Diagnostics are read and stored in the platform only when there is a change in value. The value is left blank and no data displays if values haven't changed since the last reading. A diagnostic value of 0 indicates the last read value of a diagnostic during the time period and does not mean that no value is available.
To view and export diagnostics data, you must first select one or more assets (or tags):
-
Navigate to Reports ( ) > Assets > Historic Diagnostic.
-
Select any Tags, the Assets, and Diagnostics data requested. Select fewer categories to speed report download time.
The more assets and diagnostics that you select, the longer the time required to compile the data.
-
Determine the Frequency of the data (minute, hour, day, week) and the Time Range to analyze. Select a less frequent cadence to decrease the report download time.
A more frequent cadence increases the report download time. The preview displays a sneak peak of the diagnostics report showing the last read value of the diagnostic for the time range and frequency selected.
-
Click Download CSV Report to export the data in a comma-separated values (CSV) format.
The report sorts the data by time based on frequency selected, asset name, diagnostic category, diagnostic value, and associated asset tags.
