Complete a Canadian Driver Vehicle Inspection Report: Schedule 1

For fleets that are required to be compliant with Canada Schedule 1, drivers can use the DVIR portion of their driver app to submit their vehicle inspections according to Canada Schedule 1 compliance rules. 

In accordance with Canadian Schedule 1 DVIRs, the Samsara Driver App DVIR includes: 

• Date and Time of Inspection
• License Plate Field
• Location Entry Field
• Odometer
• Organization Name
• Schedule 1 Defect List

For Admins completing DVIR's via the Samsara dashboard, they will also be able to submit vehicle inspections in accordance with Canada Schedule 1.

To ensure that drivers are able to submit their vehicle inspection as Canada Schedule 1:

• For the best experience, ensure drivers update to the latest version of the Samsara Driver App through the in-app Settings menu. 
• The Organization Locale must be set to Canada. (This can be done in the General Settings page of the Samsara Dashboard, under Language and Region)  
• An individual driver can also have their Locale Override set to Canada
