You can expand your capabilities with Samsara by connecting Samsara partner solutions that are available on the App Marketplace. Certified apps on the Samsara App Marketplace represent standardized, out-of-the-box integrations with the vendor software that share data between platforms.
From the Samsara dashboard, select the Settings icon ( ) > Organization > Apps to view available and enabled partner integrations.
You can also go to the Samsara App Marketplace to view all supported app integrations.
To install a partner application always follow the partner specific deployment steps. Depending on how the partner built the app, you will need to grant access to your Samsara data in one of the following ways:
OAuth 2.0 provides the partner app with a framework to request API access without needing to manually copy and paste a token. To grant data access for the partner, follow a simple guided workflow in Samsara.
For more information about OAuth 2.0, see the Samsara Developer Portal.
For supported apps that use an API Token, Samsara facilitates the token generation during app installation. After you acknowledge sharing of Samsara data with the partner, you can copy the API token and share it with the partner as needed.
After the initial setup, you can manage your app settings from the more actions ( ••• ) menu to edit tag access and regenerate API tokens. You can also Unlink (Uninstall) an App if it is no longer needed.
If needed, you can install a custom or beta partner app for use with Samsara.
If the partner provides you with a beta code to install their app, enter the code by clicking on the Beta code button on the top right corner of the Apps page. You will then be prompted to grant data access for the partner. If the app requires an API token, you can copy the API token and share it with the partner as needed.
When Marketplace partners add a new feature to an integration you already have enabled, they may require you to grant additional data access.
To verify your apps are up-to-date and update access for those that need it:
If an app integration is no longer needed, you can uninstall it from the Samsara dashboard. After you uninstall the app, any access and permissions are removed between Samsara and the vendor.
