Integrate Trimble TMW Suite TMS with Samsara to manage your dispatch workflow and vehicle/driver operations.

The integration includes the following features:

  • Vehicle and trailer position synced to TMW Suite

  • Send routes from TMW Suite, complete using manual or automated arrival/departure based on geofences

  • Route updates synced back to TMW Suite

  • Samsara Documents synced to TMW Suite

  • driver/Dispatcher Message sync

  • driver HOS synced to TMW Suite

  • Totalmail and Fuel Dispatch versions are supported

Enable this integration using either of the following third-party System Integrators on the Samsara Expert Marketplace:

Trimble TMW Suite Integration by Brocade Driver Connect

Connect TMW Suite with Samsara via Brocade’s robust TMS integration for routing dispatch and job management.

The integration includes the following features:

  • Integrated route dispatches

  • Synchronization of hours of service

  • Asset location (checkcall) updates

  • Automatic creation and retrieval of document data on stops

  • Driver/dispatcher messaging

Requirements

  • Trimble: Database Service Account with appropriate privileges

  • Brocade:

    • SOW and subscription agreement to implement and support integration

    • Windows server for on-premises TMW deployments

  • Samsara: Samsara API token with read and write scopes

Deployment

Brocade built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. If there are any issues, please reach out to Brocade Support.

  1. Contact Brocade Tech at support@brocadetech.com to confirm integration scope and complete the statement of work (SOW).

    In the integration scope, the Brocade Tech will work with you to define your routing and dispatch workflow requirements.

  2. Provide Samsara API access:

    1. In your Samsara dashboard, navigate to Settings > Apps.

    2. Search for and then select Brocade Driver Connect to install the app.

      Samsara generates an API token with the appropriate scopes.

    3. Send the API token to Brocade Support to enable the integration.

      The Brocade Tech will configure the account and work with you through installation, configuration, workflow implementation, and testing.

  3. Work with Brocade Tech to provide the following custom inputs:

    The Brocade Tech will provide and run a SQL script on the TMW database.

    Next the Brocade Tech will provide an integration agent to deploy on the on-premises Windows server.

    Afterward, you will set configuration parameters and startup the agent.

    Next, the Brocade Tech will verify connectivity of the Integration Fabric.

    And lastly, after Brocade installs and configures appropriate document templates in Samsara, you will complete user acceptance testing.

Trimble TMW Suite Integration by GLCS

GLCS is a third-party system integrator that can enable the integration with Trimble TMW Suite. GLCS also supports Trimble-certified Totalmail version of TMW Suite.

  • Trimble: Mobilecomm integration license

  • GLCS:

    • SOW and subscription agreement to implement and support integration

    • Windows server for on-premises TMW deployments

  • Samsara: Samsara API token with read and write scopes

Deployment

  1. Contact GLCS on the Samsara Expert Marketplace to confirm integration scope and complete the statement of work (SOW).

  2. Create a Samsara API Token named TMW Suite Integration by GLCS.

    For more information on creating an API token, see Get Started with the Samsara API.

    GLCS will provide guidance on which granular scopes are required based on which features must be supported.

  3. Send the Samsara API Token to GLCS to enable the integration.

    GLCS will configure the account and work with you through installation/configuration, workflow implementation and testing. Work with GLCS to provide the following custom inputs:

    • Server based on minimum specs (see Requirements)

    • Definition of your routing/dispatch workflow

    • User acceptance testing

Trimble TMW Suite Integration by XDS

XDS is a third-party system integrator that can enable integration with Trimble TMW Suite. XDS also supports TMW Fuel Dispatch version of TMW Suite.
