Samsara's full network of cameras provides visibility into on-the-ground conditions, even in areas where you may not currently have vehicles. These images are automatically filtered to help ensure they display only public roads and are cropped to focus on roadway conditions.
StreetSense imagery supplements your fleet’s own camera coverage by providing a broader picture of weather and road impacts across the Samsara network. This added visibility can help validate severe weather conditions or confirm safe travel routes.

The On-the-Ground View with StreetSense is available in beta. To participate, contact your Samsara representative.
The On-the-Ground View gives you a closer look at specific U.S. locations by overlaying StreetSense imagery on your fleet map. This is especially useful when viewing weather events—letting you understand conditions at ground level in context with alerts or fleet activity.
To access the on-the-ground view, you can right click a location on a map:
If you prefer not to share images from your fleet, you can disable participation in StreetSense:

Go to Settings in your Samsara dashboard.

Select Samsara Intelligence.

Toggle off StreetSense.
Note
When StreetSense is disabled, your images will not be shared to the network and you will no longer have access to StreetSense imagery from other fleets.
