Your fleet administrator shares events from your trips for review in the Driver App. Events highlight specific driving behaviors and are used for coaching and follow-up. Events are grouped by detected driving behavior and include safety, idling, and Hours of Service (HOS) activity.
You can access and complete reviews from several areas in the Samsara Driver App.
The following types of events are shared for review:
-
Safety events: Events related to detected driving behaviors, such as speeding, harsh driving, or mobile usage.
-
Idling events: Events related to engine idling activity.
-
HoS events: Events related to Hours of Service activity.
Your driver score is based on safety events detected during your trips. Different safety behaviors carry different levels of impact, as defined by your organization.
Idling and HOS events may be shared for review, but only safety events affect your driver score.
