How to check your version and receive updates
The latest available version of the Samsara Driver app in the store is 52.1.7005 for Android and iOS.
52 is our major version and 7005 is our minor version (Android).
Samsara also employs over-the-air updates to our minor version through the driver app for smaller changes such as bug fixes, improvements, and early access for new features. Our most current minor version is 7319, released 02/15. If your current version is not the most recent, see the table below for instructions on how to update to the latest version of Samsara Driver App.

- Fixed a rare bug where drivers were being kept On Duty and tied to the vehicle after signing out.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the “are you still driving?” and PC / YM prompts to not appear consistently.
- Made a change that assumes the driver is On Duty not Driving after 5 minutes of the ELD losing connection to the cloud. System will backfill appropriately once reconnected.

- Resolved an issue where split sleeper users were seeing incorrect violations for shifts that spanned from 9/28 to 9/29 (HOS rule change cutover time)
- Resolved an issue where some users were seeing incorrect Drive + On Duty time in the certify logs page.
- Resolved an issue where the Rest mode screen was incorrectly counting On Duty time at the end of the shift towards the shift and cycle reset count down.

- Forced Location Setting for HOS: You can now require drivers to enter a location when changing duty statuses if they do not have a vehicle selected. Enabling the new Force Manual Location setting gives you better insight into where drivers are, even if they are away from their vehicles.

- Using the app without selecting a vehicle: In the newest version of the driver app, drivers can use the app without selecting a vehicle. This allows drivers to view their logs, submit a document or view upcoming routes without having to select a vehicle.
Routes
- Separate manual arrival and departure: For drivers that have manual route stop arrival and departure enabled, they can now provide a separate arrival and departure to give better visibility of route stop activity. More details in this article
- Stop arrival notifications: Drivers will now receive a notification when they have arrived at a stop so they can have better visibility
- View team driver’s routes: Drivers are now able to view the assigned routes for their team driver, ensuring drivers always know where they’re going for the day
Messaging
- Enabled push notifications for iOS and Android so drivers can see when they’ve got a message even if they don’t have the Samsara app open
- Admins can now send clickable URLs in messages, so that drivers can easily navigate to relevant websites on their mobile device
