The Transfinder integration enables you to view bus information in Transfinder and import routes from Transfinder into Samsara.

Transfinder: Either the API subscription (Marketplace Connect) or Transfinder mobilecomm subscription (GPS Connect).

Samsara built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact Samsara Support.

Log in to the Samsara dashboard.

Select the Settings icon ( ) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

In the Advanced section, select Apps.

Use the search bar at the top of the page to find Transfinder.

To enable the new integration, turn on the toggle for Transfinder and enter your Transfinder credentials and setup details.
If needed, your Transfinder representative can share these values with you. Depending on your Transfinder subscription, you may not need to provide a Vendor ID (i.e. GPS Connect ID). If you are using GPS Connect without Market Connect, leave your Vendor ID value at -100.

Sync bus GPS data.
Contact your Transfinder representative to set up Samsara as your GPS provider and retrieve your GPS Connect ID for the Samsara-Transfinder integration. After this is configured, you can see all of your buses with Samsara devices in your Transfinder system, tagged with your Samsara device unique ID.

Sync route data.
Samsara does a one-time transfer of all your Transfinder routes into Samsara, after you save your integration credentials.
If you have just added new routes for the school year into Transfinder and want these to show up in Samsara, remove and re-enable your credentials to kick off the sync.
