If a Vehicle Gateway (VG) is installed in a vehicle operating in the state of California, a CARB Executive Order (EO) Product Information label must be applied inside the engine compartment. This label is required to support California Smog Check inspections.

After installing the VG, apply the CARB EO Product Information sticker inside the vehicle’s engine compartment near the Vehicle Emission Control (VEC) Information label using the following workflow:

Identify the CARB EO Product Information sticker provided with the Vehicle Gateway:

Use the following diagrams and legend to identify typical VEC label locations by vehicle type:

: Engine valve cover

: Radiator shroud
Passenger Vehicles and Light-Duty Trucks
Heavy-Duty Trucks

Place the CARB EO sticker on a smooth, clean surface near the VEC label.
