To learn about driver workflows, your fleet manager can assign you training courses to complete. You can access the training videos from either the Samsara Driver App (as described below), or from the Samsara Driver Portal.
If a manager has assigned you a course to complete, you will receive a notification of the assignment on your mobile device. Courses may be assigned independently or in conjunction with a shared safety event.
To view course details for pending and completed assignments, such as the due date and average time for completion, access your assigned training by tapping the Training tile in the Samsara Driver App.
Courses in Needs Review status are pending course completion. Continue the training by tapping on the course. After you complete a course, the completed task is visible in your Completed courses for up to 90 days; however, completed courses cannot be reopened.
The Library tab includes self-serve courses that you can complete on your own, without waiting for a manager to assign them.
The self-serve training library allows you to complete courses in the Samsara Driver App on your own, without waiting for a manager to assign them. This helps you refresh your knowledge or review safety topics at your own pace.
To access self-serve training courses, tap the Training tile in the Samsara Driver App, then select Library at the top.
Only completed self-serve courses are visible to administrators. Like manager-assigned training courses, completed self-serve courses cannot be reopened.
To view a course and complete the training, observe the following requirements:

The Samsara Driver App must have connection to the internet.

The vehicle must be parked. Training cannot be view while the vehicle is in motion.

The Samsara Driver App version must be at least 2330.200.
