The integration between Kestrel Insights and Samsara streamlines the usage of geofences in fleet management by automating the creation of highly accurate polygon geofences. This eliminates the previous limitations of having to choose between less accurate circular geofences and the time-intensive process of manually drawing polygon geofences.

(Optional) If you want to limit access to a group of assets, it is recommended to assign Tags to those assets in the Samsara dashboard.

(Optional) Tag any relevant geofences with
Kestrel Insightsif you want to limit access to specific locations. -

Select the Settings icon (
) at the bottom of your Fleet menu and then click Apps.

Search for and then select
Kestrel Insightsto install the app. -
If you tagged your geofences to limit access, change the access scope from Entire Organization to the tag name.

Click Allow to agree to the terms of the Samsara Data Import and Sharing Addendum.

Send the API token to Kestrel Insights (data@kestrelinsights.com) and request the Samsara integration.
